A Career in Science with a Disability - (How) is That Possible?
In a panel discussion organized by the Helmholtz Network for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), researchers with disabilities from various Helmholtz Centres reported on their career paths and experiences at research institutions. The situation of scientists with disabilities has hardly been scientifically researched. The participants in the discussion unanimously recommended dealing openly with the situation and seeking support. The diverse results, suggestions and tips were recorded for other affected persons and research institutions.
