Globalization and internationalization are leading to increasing cultural diversity in teams and organizations, which involves both challenges and opportunities. Sensitive and successful management of cultural differences in working and communication styles requires a deeper understanding of individual and cultural concepts, including our ideas, values, standards and norms. Therefore, the recognition and reflection of different cultural imprints and their impact on our perception and behaviour is the basis for continuous development of intercultural awareness for both leaders and team members.

This workshop aims at creating awareness for differing culture-specific concepts, values, and expectations. The participants will learn how to deal with different structures of communication and ways of interaction in multicultural teams characterized by a diversity of personalities, perspectives, values, working approaches, and communication styles. We will discuss possibilities to constructively deal with potential sources of irritation and to create synergy effects using the given diversity to increase our teams’ creativity, satisfaction and success.
