Balancing Minds in Science No. 5: Always on – How to switch off from digital stress
Digitalization is profoundly transforming the world of work. Flexible work formats like home office and hybrid work offer many advantages but often lead to increased availability, information overload, and a blurred line between work and private life.
In the lecture "Always on – How to switch off from digital stress", we provide well-founded knowledge on the topic of digital stress and its effects on health, well-being, and performance. Participants learn how digital burdens arise and which psychological mechanisms play a role in this process.
Furthermore, they receive practical and scientifically based strategies to:
- Consciously control their own availability,
- Promote mental recovery during the workday,
- Design digital workflows in a healthy and efficient manner.
The goal of the lecture is to support employees in leveraging the benefits of digital work without slipping into a state of overload or chronic stress in the long term.
