Cancer affects us all. In Germany, approximately 500,000 people are newly diagnosed with cancer each year, about one-third of whom are of working age. The good news: Based on current knowledge, about half of all cancer cases can be prevented through personal preventive measures — that is, by adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Ursula Will, Medical Director of the Prevention Clinic at the National Cancer Prevention Center in Heidelberg, will discuss what constitutes a healthy lifestyle, what you can do to lower your personal risk of cancer, and how you can incorporate these practices into your daily life. Afterward, she will give you the opportunity to ask questions.

The lecture will open with a welcome address by VP Dr. Stefan Schwartze.

The presentation marks the start of a series of follow-up events on the topic of workplace cancer prevention, which are being organized by the Network Health.

Dr. Ursula Will is a physician with over 20 years of experience in oncology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). For many years, she has been dedicated to communicating information about cancer in an accessible way. Since 2021, she has been leading the establishment of the Prevention Clinic at the National Cancer Prevention Center in Heidelberg, a joint initiative of German Cancer Aid and the DKFZ.

This event is presented by the Network Health.
