Workshop
Self Management & Resilience in everyday leadership: Navigate your time, engergy and projects consciously
Mittwoch, 06. Mai 2026, 9:00-17:00
on-site, KIT CS
Workshop for members of The Young Investigator Network (YIN) only
As a research group leader or Junior Professor you usually work on several projects at the same time - with high expectations from research, teaching, leadership, and administration. Traditional time management methods often fall short in this environment.
The workshop shows how modern time and self-management can work in complex work contexts. The focus is on strategic prioritization, conscious self-management, and methods for keeping track of several projects at the same time while still working in a focused manner.
Key topics
- Analyzing your own work reality: current situation and desired situation in everyday management
- Extended Eisenhower method: setting priorities under conditions of complexity, multiple responsibilities, and energy levels
- Multi-project management in a scientific context: managing several topics in parallel without losing focus
- The wheel of life as a tool for reflecting on balance, energy, and long-term effectiveness
- Defining golden behaviors: small daily actions with a big impact on productivity, focus, and leadership
- Concrete strategies for making priorities visible, structuring projects more clearly, and using work energy in a targeted manner
Targetgroup: The Young Investigator Network (YIN)
Language: English
The event can be credited toward the KIT Leadership Certificate.
