Moderation is much more than simply structuring meetings or guiding workshops. Professional moderation creates a framework in which diversity can be used productively, participation can be encouraged, and viable solutions can be developed collaboratively. This training program teaches a systemic approach as well as tried-and-true methods for designing moderation processes that are goal-oriented, participatory, and effective.

The program focuses on fostering psychological safety, promoting constructive dialogue, and the deliberate use of systemic and agile approaches to support collaboration, even in complex and interdisciplinary contexts. Over the course of four modules, participants develop their facilitation skills. Learning tandems, application exercises, and a companion learning journal enable participants to apply what they’ve learned to their own work contexts. Optionally, participants can earn a certificate upon completion and join the Moderation Network.
