Service agreement as a basis

The service agreement between the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the KIT Staff Council regulates how to conduct the annual employee interview for employees as a valuable instrument of human resource management and human resources development. You will find more detailed information on the following pages and in the documents that you can download in the download area.

In principle, managers should offer all their employees an annual employee interview at least once a year. However, at the request of the employee, in the event of a change of job or manager and in the event of a transfer, a further annual employee interview is also possible.

This does not apply to

  • Trainees
  • interns and authors of final theses
  • student and research assistants
  • marginal employees
  • Employees with a fixed-term employment contract of one year or less, unless it is a follow-up employment.

The offer is voluntary for employees, but participation is generally recommended.
